Heartmade by parents, for parents

As parents we wanted our children's brightest, most joyful memories to be connected with Krishna — not with whatever cartoon character happened to be on the shelf that year. Everything we could find was either flimsy, or joyless, or both.

So we spent three years on it: sculpting the characters so they read as themselves at 9 cm, finding a factory that would hold the paint quality at small runs, and getting the material certified to CE, EN71, ISO 9001 and BIS — because these end up in the hands, and sometimes the mouths, of two-year-olds.

The result is a set that survives the bath, the sandpit and a week under the sofa, and that a child comes back to on their own. That last part is the only test we really cared about.
